Camlock coupling type C
The camlock fittings provide quick and secure hose connection. The camlock couplings mate by inserting the grooved coupling into the cam coupling and simply closing the cam or lever arms. The cam arms are protected from accidental disconnection by safety pins or locks.
How it works
Connect the camlock coupling by sliding the camlock adapter into the coupling and pressing the cam levers down with normal hand pressure.
Uncoupling is just as easy as coupling. Just lift the cam arms and remove the adapter.
Cam and groove couplings, also called camlock fittings or quick connect fittings, are used in most industries as a hose connection to avoid leakage. The cam lock type of coupling is popular because it is considered to be a simple and economical way to reconnect and disconnect.
Gaskets
Standard gaskets for stainless steel camlock couplings are black Buna-N. EPDM, Viton, PTFE & Neoprene gaskets are also supplied for higher working pressure. Always make sure the material is compatible with the liquids or powders to be delivered.
Advantages
Stainless Steel Camlock Coupling:
Outstanding corrosion resistance,
Much harder than brass camlocks,
Wide operating temperature range,
Longer service life.
Aluminum Camlock Coupling:
The aluminum type is light weight and the clamp part is very strong. It is suitable for conveying water, crude oil and chemicals and is very strong despite its light weight.
Application
The stainless steel camlock coupling is widely used in sanitary or food-related environments & highly corrosive environments. The coupling efficiently prevents contamination in the transport process.
Stainless steel cam locks are ideal for use with salt water, water waste and many chemicals & can also be used with hydraulic oil and coolants.
