The average thermal expansion coefficient of stainless steel pipe is 0.017mm/(m·℃), which is close to copper pipe, while the composite pipe is 1.5 times of stainless pipe and a plastic pipe is 5-11 times of stainless pipe. In view of the weakness of the excessive thermal expansion coefficient of plastic pipes (referring to plastic pipes or composite pipes lined with plastic), metal pipes should be used to transport hot water.
